About 250 WordPress fans attended WordCamp Shanghai ; About 100 at WordCamp Hong Kong.  I gave a speech at both events, and enjoyed interacting with some of the smartest, most handsome, or the prettiest users and developer in Asia!

Some photos I took during the events

  1. Dear Dr.Wu,
This is Jianguo at Fudan. The wordcamp 2009 at Fudan was really a great opportunities for us wordpress fans to meet old friends and make new ones. The HK wordcamp seemed very successful too. Was it held in HK Baptist U? The auditorium looks familiar to me. I was there last week.
Because of my recommendations and wordpress’s increase popularity here, my school has decided to build a website based on wordpress to celebrate the school’s 80th anniversary in May and June, and if it is successful, we may shift the school’s official site into wordpress too.
I wonder if you and anyone you recommend can provide us some help on theme designing and function structuring for the site. We could ask for help from fudan’s computer science depart but students there don’t seem know much about php coding. Maybe you can recommend someone or a company in Shanghai we can trust and commission with the task and subsequent training?
Personally, I think this can be a good opportunity for Fudan Journalism School and WordPress to build closer ties.
What do you think of it? I look forward to hearing from you soon.
    Best wishes
    Jianguo at Fudan, Shanghai
